This policy explains which data we process, why we do so, how long we keep it and what your rights are. Any questions about your data? Ask them through the contact form on our contact page.
When you order from us we process your name, your billing and delivery address, your e-mail address, your phone number, what you ordered and how you paid. If you order as a business, your company name and VAT number are added.
We need this data to perform the contract with you: preparing the order, keeping you informed, issuing the invoice and being able to assess a warranty claim. The payment itself runs through our payment provider; we see which method you chose and whether the payment succeeded, but never your full card or account details.
We keep invoices and the order data that belongs to them for seven years. That is not a choice: Dutch tax law requires it.
To deliver your parcel we pass your name, address and — for the delivery notification — your e-mail address and phone number to our shipping partner and the carrier that brings your parcel. If you choose a pick-up point, your parcel goes to the point you selected yourself.
When you register a return we process your order number, the items you send back and the reason you give. We also use that reason in anonymised form to see which products come back often, so we can improve the sizing or the description.
An account is not required: you can check out without creating one. If you do create one, we store your e-mail address, an encrypted password, your addresses, your vehicles and your order history, so that you can look them up yourself and do not have to type your details every time.
Your account stays until you ask us to delete it. If you do, we remove your account and your preferences; the orders attached to it stay in our administration for as long as the tax retention obligation runs.
When you book an appointment for fitting, collection or a viewing, we ask for your name, e-mail address, phone number and your vehicle. The phone number is required: if anything shifts on the day itself, we need to be able to reach you.
With an appointment or an advice request you can send along a photo of your seats. We use that photo only to judge which version you need and to prepare the appointment.
When you send us a message through one of the forms on this site, we process your name, your e-mail address, your phone number if you give one, your question and the photo you attach. We keep those messages for as long as we need them to help you and to look back at them if you come back with a follow-up.
The site also has a chat with an AI assistant. What you type there goes to the provider of the language model, so that an answer comes out. If you ask about your order, we first ask for your order number and e-mail address — without those two the chat is shown no data about your order. We keep conversations for 180 days by default; do not share passwords or payment details in them.
Reviews. If you write a review we publish your rating, your text, the name you give yourself and the photo you add. We only publish reviews after a check, and you can always ask us to take yours down.
Newsletter. You only receive it if you signed up for it. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing takes effect immediately and costs you nothing.
Abandoned cart. If you enter your e-mail address at checkout but do not complete the order, we may send you a reminder about it, sometimes with a discount code. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in completing an interrupted order. If you do not want those messages, let us know or use the unsubscribe link; the data of an unfinished cart disappears by itself after thirty days.
On the home page you can enter your number plate to see what fits your car. We send that plate to the open vehicle data of the Dutch RDW to retrieve the make, model and year. We do not link the plate to you as a person and do not store it with your order; we only remember the vehicle that was found, so the site can show you the right products.
We use four kinds of cookies. Necessary cookies are always there: without them your cart and the checkout do not work. Functional cookies remember your preferences, such as your language and the vehicle you selected. Statistics cookies show us how visitors use the site. Marketing cookies measure our ads and make them more relevant.
We only place the last three if you consent to them. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time through the cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
If you consent to statistics or marketing, we share data about your visit and your order with the analytics and advertising services we use for that. Part of this happens from our own server, so that the measurement is still correct if your browser blocks scripts; your consent applies there just the same. Without your consent nothing goes to those parties — not from our server either.
With your order we record which consent you had at that moment, so that we can demonstrate afterwards what could and could not be shared. We also record which channel you arrived through, for example an advertisement or a search engine, together with your IP address and browser details at the time of ordering.
If you order our product through a marketplace such as bol.com, Amazon, eBay, Kaufland or OTTO, that platform gives us the data we need to deliver and to handle a possible return. What the platform itself does with your data is set out in that platform’s own privacy policy; we are not responsible for it.
We do not sell your data. We only share it with parties that do something for us, and only what they need for that:
We have agreements with these parties about what they may do with your data. Some of them process data outside the European Union; that is done on the basis of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Our site runs entirely over a secure connection, we store passwords only in encrypted form, and access to the dashboard is limited to staff who need it for their work. We record technical data such as IP addresses on login attempts and error reports, to spot abuse and to fix faults.
In short: we keep orders and invoices for seven years (a legal obligation), chat conversations for 180 days, an unfinished cart for thirty days, contact and advice messages for as long as the question is live and a while after for context, and your account until you have it deleted.
You may ask us which data we hold about you and receive a copy of it. If it is wrong, we correct it. You may also ask us to delete your data, to restrict its use, or object to processing that rests on our legitimate interest — such as the reminder about an abandoned cart. If you gave consent, you may withdraw it at any time; what happened before that stays valid.
If you ask for deletion, we cannot remove everything: what is on an invoice we have to keep for seven years. The rest does go.
You make a request through the contact form on our contact page. We reply within thirty days. To avoid handing data to the wrong person, we may ask you to confirm through the e-mail address we have on file. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
If something changes about our webshop or the way we handle data, we update this policy. The top of the page shows when we last did so.
